The variety of treatment methods and the introduction of rapidly developing new technologies have emerged as a necessity for surgeons to update themselves frequently in the treatment of hemorrhoidal disease. Within the scope of the course, management of hemorrhoidal disease and the most common surgical technics will be discussed in the light of video presentations and recent advancements. In addition, our colleagues will have the opportunity to make practical applications on the models. Learning objectives:• Learning the technical details of common surgical procedures in hemorrhoidal disease • Reviewing the non-surgical treatment of hemorrhoidal disease • Managing surgical complications and postoperative pain
Participants will perform applications on animal models created in stations under the supervision of educators. |

Instructors: Emin Lapsekili, Server Sezgin Uludağ, Uğur Topal, Onur Bayraktar, Orçun Yalav Course objectives: While anastomosis techniques have developed over time in colorectal surgery, the use of staplers has become increasingly common due to their advantages. Although many applications were performed with staplers during surgical training, this course is organized in order to update the knowledge of the participants due to the rapid change in technology and the diversity of anastomosis techniques used in laparoscopic and robotic surgery. The aim of this course is to introduce the stapler technology and to inform general surgery assistant doctors and physicians who have no previous experience in using staplers in the field of colorectal surgery, about the basic features of stapler tools and their use (with video-supported visuals). At the end of the course, hand dexterity activities will be carried out by enabling the use of interactive staplers in prepared models and animal tissues Learning objectives:• Learning the principles of safe stapling and the tricks to avoid complications • To be able to choose the right stapler (cartridge, stapler size, color) for safe anastomosis in minimally invasive and open surgical procedures • Learning the rules to be considered in stapler preparation and application

Instructors: Timuçin Erol, Mustafa Ateş, Uğur Sungurtekin, İlker Sücüllü, Bülent Menteş, İlknur Erenler Bayraktar, Ersin Öztürk, Çiğdem Arslan, Hedef Özgün, Sezai Leventoğlu, İsmail Cem Eray Course Aims: • Perianal fistula and anal fissure are debilitating conditions that significantly impact the quality of life of afflicted patients. Failure to properly manage treatment can lead to recurrent or complicated cases, which are the source of great disappointment for both patients and surgeons alike. Consequently, patients are often reticent to seek treatment, and surgeons may be apprehensive about performing surgical interventions. The aim of this program is to equip general surgery specialists with a keen interest in colorectal surgery and proctology with practical, evidence-based recommendations on the diagnosis, mapping, conservative and surgical treatments, and stepwise evaluation of treatment management for anal fissure and anal fistula cases commonly encountered in clinical practice. • The program's objectives are twofold. Firstly, participants will be taught to discern between appropriate conservative or surgical interventions in cases of anal fissure, and to apply fine-tuning techniques in surgery to avoid complications that may arise post-operatively. Secondly, participants will learn to map the diagnosis of anal fistula and acquire the skill set necessary to use sphincter-preserving surgical methods, thereby reducing the risk of recurrences and associated complications. Upon completion of this program, participants will have acquired a comprehensive understanding of the management of anal fissure and fistula, and will be equipped to make changes and improvements to their personal practice.

Directors: M.Tahir Özer, Emin Lapsekili
Instructors: Murat Kendirci, M. Tahir Özer, Çiğdem Arslan, Emin Lapsekili Course aims: Open Abdomen; It is a clinical condition in patients who have undergone laparotomy for various reasons or who cannot or are not preferred to close after laparotomy. Although the main indication is abdominal compartment syndrome, it has been the most appropriate treatment for patients with abdominal sepsis, multitrauma or severe acute pancreatitis. Additional problems that will arise with the increase in pressure may be more destructive for the patient in terms of results. We can often see in surgical practice that surgeons who do not insist on trying to close the abdomen in these patients are more likely to return their patients. It is possible to see the emergence of the concept called surgical experience in the decision of 'to close or not to close' in such cases. The aim of the course is to contribute to the Surgeons to make this decision by transferring knowledge and experience.
